A Shiny New User Generated Content System Will Drop In Genshin Impact’s Luna II Update

A new Genshin Impact Special Program dropped this morning. As you’d expect, it covered the next chapter in the free-to-play action RPG’s story and highlighted the upcoming wish banners and events. But the bulk of the stream – approximately half of it – focused on Miliastra Wonderland. You may recall that this feature was briefly introduced in the last Special Program and will allow players to create their own content and share with others. There will even be an earnings program – although there are limited details on that.

What we do know is that we finally have a use for that item O asked Venti to give to us. That’s our ticket into the Wonderland. (If you missed getting that item, don’t worry. You’ll just need to complete some early portions of the game’s main story to gain access.) Once in Miliastra Wonderland, players will create their own unique avatar. It’s fully customizable and players can even collect outfits for it. Some are free, some come from a new type of battle pass system, others come from the store or other endeavors. The avatar can be taken into Teyvat and even added to players’ parties. But do keep in mind that their level is based on their Wonderland level and their element is based on the Traveler’s current element.

Once you have your avatar made, it’s time to start creating. HoYo has provided players with a collection of assets developed over the five years of Genshin Impact’s existence. So there’s a lot to work with. The devs have put together a system that doesn’t require any coding, but there will be a bit of a learning curve to get everything to work together well. As for the upcoming story, things are heating up and Rerir is coming for the Damselette. He’s become more powerful too and defeating him is not only going to require the various factions of Nod-Krai coming together, but help from the outside. That’s why we see folks like Arlecchino showing up.

The only new playable character dropping this time is Nefer. (No, we’re not getting Varka yet.) Nefer will be available in the first event wish, along with Furina. The second event wish will feature Arlecchino and Zhongli. So, if you’re still trying to get your hands on Father or Grandpa, that’ll be your next chance.
