Apparently, HoYoverse's Has An MMORPG In Development And This Is What It Looks Like

This is something I thought we wrote about the first time it popped up, but it seems we didn’t – likely because there was really only a short teaser (which you can see below) and it really didn’t show anything but some scenery. It also wasn’t something on official channels, as (if I remember correctly) it was shown at a convention and nowhere else.

Either way, a good while back people began talking about a new UE5 MMO under development at HoYoverse. The teaser was all we’d seen of it, and several of the company’s other products have been in various stages of development and testing so we just forgot about it. But today, the game popped back up on people’s radar with the title Nodusfall (The Weavers).

A YouTuber by the name of Rimji shared a bit of gameplay footage, and it’s definitely different from their the company’s usual offerings. For one thing, it’s not anime – not even that 3D anime look like Varsapura. Instead it’s more realistic. For another, it’s reported to be an MMORPG. Whether it will have gacha elements remains to be seen, but the footage makes it look like it has Monster Hunter style elements.

Considering how HoYo typically go about development, it could be a while before we see anything about this game again. Of course, when we do, hopefully it’s via official channels.
