Blade & Soul Heroes Launches On PC And Mobile Devices

A new entry in the Blade & Soul franchise launched on PC and mobile devices. The anime-styled series prequel, the free-to-play MMORPG Blade & Soul Heroes, is now available for download on PC via Steam and PURPLE as well as on mobile devices. This new entry into the franchise tells the story of Yusol as players progress through 16 chapters, where they will run into familiar faces from the original game.

Players collect the characters they meet and use them to build five-character teams to take into battle. Currently, there are over 40 characters to collect.

As for the improvements, the Western version of Blade & Soul heroes features a streamlined early game that has been re-balanced to improve pacing and includes a skip option for cutscenes. Of course, for those who enjoy stories, there are improvements there as well, with background “Chronicles” for players to experience.

The game’s combat has been improved with the addition of features like dashing and adjustments intended to encourage players to attempt parries more often. There were some removals as well, such as automoving during the main questline. This is intended to keep players engaged. Gear sharing has also been increased to allow items to be shared across 20 Heroes. In addition, boss trials offer difficulty options.

Players can also look forward to an early drop of new content, with the game’s first update dropping next week, Thursday, September 30.
