Doctrine Has Arrived In Overwatch, Just In Time For Halloween

During BlizzCon, the Overwatch team revealed the free-to-play team shooter’s next playable Hero, Doctrine. The vampire-themed character arrives in the game at the best time, what with it being Halloween season and all.

Season 5: Grim Doctrine introduces the new Support Hero, recently rescued from the volcanic prison in Iceland by Doomfist. Players will visit this same prison in the new system as it is the first Escort Map added since the launch of Overwatch 2.

Speaking of Suppor heroes, this update also brings the promised changes to Sombra and Roadhog, making Sombra a Support chracter and revamping Roadhog’s abilities.

In addition to the above, Season 5 also introduces a new Halloween event, Mystery Madness: Graveyard Games. In this event, players will play as a random Hero and unlock new power each time they die, all while completing challenges and collecting Offerings needed to summon the next Hero.
