It’s been less than a month since Riot games announced plans for League of Legends Classic and only about a week since they revealed how it would work. In that time, they’ve apparently been receiving feedback from players of the free-to-play MOBA on a few things, most notably their plans to charge players for the characters’ older skins. The plan was to have all the characters in their modern skins by default, but following feedback, that’s changed.
Now, the plan is to unlock classic skins and make them the default for characters. Technically, they’ve already unlocked classic skins for the characters that have them. More are in the works.
Another thing announced in the tweet addressing the feedback is that they’re bringing back classic voice overs – at least what they can.
Aside from that, the team is also shifting what era the classic mode will be taking place in to (hopefully) better align with what players believe to be classic. It is noted, however that “classic” can vary depending on who you ask.
Hey everyone. Thank you for your feedback on League Classic. We have a small update we wanted to share on:
