Rumors are appearing about a new lineup of Nvidia Super graphics cards that have 50% more memory than the current models. Making use of new 3GB GDDR7 chips, the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 Super and 5070 Super could respectively have 8GB and 4GB more VRAM than the existing cards.
While the RTX 5090 has a massive 32GB of VRAM at its disposal, not everyone can afford to spend over $1,999 on the best graphics card available right now, and Nvidia has come in for heavy criticism for the amount of VRAM on some of its current GPUs. In particular, as I found in my RTX 5070 review, this $549 GPU can’t max out some of the latest games at 1080p, let alone higher resolutions, and that’s down to its memory rather than its GPU power.
