If you’ve been keeping up with Genshin Impact, you know that HoYoverse has been teasing Nod-Krai for a while now, both in-game and out. In-game, it’s the place that almost everyone seems to be heading. Even Charlotte is making plans for a visit, and she’s just a reporter.
Outside of the F2P action game, HoYo has been dropping teasers for the upcoming Song of the Welkin Moon update, including a video introducing eleven new characters and their accompanying character information. Some of these people we already know about in some way, such as Alice and Varka. One we only recently met, and through her learned of another. Of course, we saw individuals we’ve known for a while as well, like Durin.
But then there are those we’ve only seen in the trailer. One of these, Flins, or Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins, as is apparently his full name, got to snag the spotlight at gamescom last night with the A Lantern in the Night teaser. This isn’t a typical character teaser. It’s more like a teaser of the teaser. But, it gives us a look at his personality and we’re able to see his combat in action.
As can be seen, he uses a polearm in combat and what appears to be a blend of Electro and Hydro. From both this teaser and the previous one, it seems he’s tasked with patrolling a dark and dangerous area. At least part of that area is a graveyard. At least he has a lantern.
