Here’s what Andy Duthie, the executive producer for HAWKED, has to say in the fifth edition of the game’s Dev Diary series.
Apparently there have been over 1.5 million players since the free-to-play PvPvE extraction shooter's launch on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox on February 15. The developers over at MY.GAMES expressed gratitude for the success and promised commitment to ensuring stability across all platforms as well as attracting new players. They said they have been actively engaging with player feedback to address bugs, balance issues, and quality-of-life improvements. Henceforth, a robust content plan for 2024 and beyond is in place — with the next significant update, Venture 3, scheduled for March 19.
Venture 3 introduces new quests along with weapon upgrades, additional loot in the form of artifacts, and improvements to the class system. The update aims to empower players with insight into their loadout's buffs and advantages. Ongoing bug fixes and UI enhancements are underway for a smoother HAWKED experience.
Current priorities for the team include expanding the in-game shop offerings, improving matchmaking, refining movement mechanics, and introducing a new game mode. UI revamps and changes to the Prestige system are also in the works.
Duthie said: "We are deeply moved and grateful to reach the milestone of 1.5 million players on HAWKED. This remarkable journey has been made possible by the incredible support and enthusiasm of our amazing community.
