When Where Winds Meet’s Version 1.8 update drops on June 25, it will bring with it the homesteading system, taking players back to the home they fled at the beginning of the game and offering them the chance to rebuild. Players will recruit villagers as estate workers, construct inns, rebuild existing buildings, farm, and brew wine… because wine is what Blissful Retreat is known for.
Players won’t just be restoring their home by completing homestead activities – although that should be enough reason, they’ll also earn a special currency that can be used to pick up rewards from the Homestead Shop. This includes a new outfit.
In addition, a new creative feature will arrive in July that will allow players to customize their homes and share them with other players. This feature will drop in July.
The update will also introduce companion pets to the free-to-play action RPG, specifically cats and geese. These critters react to weather changes and world events, and will even allow players to dress them up. At a later date, they may also be available for use in combat.
