Patch 7.05 dropped in Final Fantasy XIV this morning, and we all know what that means. Savage raiding has begun. To participate, players need an item level of 700 for the first raid. The second requires iLvl 705 and the third and fourth an item level of 710.
Of course, that’s not all 7.05 brings to the MMORPG. If savages aren’t your thing, the first treasure hunt of the expansion, Cenote Ja Ja Gural, is now available. This is your standard pick-a-door dungeon and players will need the Br’aaxskin treasure map to access it. That is, provided the RNG is kind and gives you a portal.
This patch also implements quite a few adjustments to jobs. There are quite a few buffs and a few nerfs. Players may or may not be surprised to see that Viper has the most changes, followed by Samurai and then Black Mage. Pictomancer received some changes, too.
Now that Savage has begun, some of you are probably going to be looking for other players to team up with. You’ll probably be excited to hear that the restrictions to World Visit and Data Center Travel have been lifted… somewhat. Effectively, players can visit anywhere provided there’s not too much congestion.
It now works like this: Standard worlds without congestion will allow for standard travel. Standard worlds on a data center with one or more congested worlds will have standard world visit capacity but data center travel will be greatly reduced. New and preferred worlds will feature standard world visit login capacity and increased data center travel capacity. Congested Worlds will have world visit capacity reduced and data center travel capacity greatly reduced.
This, of course, means you’ll likely still have problems getting some places, but if you really want to sit in a queue for it, you can do it… eventually.
