Netmarble Announces Launch Date For Monster-Taming Action RPG Mongil: Star Dive

Today, Netmarble announced that its monster-taming action RPG Mongil: Star Dive will be launching on PC and mobile devices on April 15. The sequel to the mobile game Monster Taming is currently in the polishing stages following a series of closed beta tests.

If you’re unfamiliar with Mongil: Star Dive, it’s the creature-collecting game featuring a rather round black cat creature named Nyanners with a Kirby-like tendency of swallowing things whole – in this case, monsters that are changed into little keychain-type accessories known as monsterlings that can be used to enhance the playable characters’ abilities. As with many games of this type, players will put together a team of characters to adventure with.

Currently, pre-registration for the game is live. Players will receive rewards based on how they pre-register. Email registration will earn players a free Francis (Support) character, a Hilia profile image, 3 Spider Leg Royal Platters, and 3 Berritastic Shaved Ice. Those who pre-register via mobile will receive 10 Compass of Promise, a Lenna profile image, 3 Legendary Gold Chicken, and 3 Steak of Tenacity. I haven’t looked to see if players can receive both sets of rewards by registering both ways, but it seems likely. In addition, there are preregistration milestones that will offer players additional useful items. Hitting the 500k mark will earn everyone a Mollmander monsterling.
