Extraction shooter fans have another new game to look forward to later this year with developer Holmgard Games announcing the upcoming title Project L.3.3.T. And yes L.3.3.T. is annoying to type.
Along with a shiny new trailer, Project L.3.3.T. gave us some details on what exactly players can expect when the game launches in the second half of 2024.
Project L.3.3.T will feature full character customization which allows players to alter their character's appearance, clothing, and gear. Realistic weapons features will be part of the game with things like handling, modding, jamming, overheating, and wear and tear.
Players can squad up or go solo utilizing the "Mercs for Hire" feature which makes AI teammates available for recruitment. Some RPG-esque systems will be in place such as hydration, energy levels, blood loss, fractures, contusions, intoxication (PARTY!), exhaustion, and tremors.
You can even buy and sell items with other players in an in-game "open marketplace."
Character progression will take place through discovering training manuals scattered throughout the world. There will be Seasons featuring boss hunt "deck of cards" events, storyline missions, and faction challenges. A new Season will begin every four months.
The Project L.3.3.T. devs liken their game to others such as Tarkov, DayZ, and STALKER.
You can already pre-order bundles, some of which guarantee alpha access currently scheduled to kick off March 1st. While bundles start at $29.99, you need to spend $59.99 or more if you want access to that closed alpha.
You can watch the full announcement trailer below and head over to the Project L.3.3.T. website for more.
