Wayfinder is still cooking out here.
The upcoming patch for the game introduces UI overhauls and gameplay balance updates. In terms of UI, the Character Menu has undergone a facelift — eliminating tabs for submenus in favor of a button grid below the gear slots. The stat window is now more accessible too, allowing players to navigate and understand the impact of each stat on their character and loadout. Additionally, tooltip style pop-ups in the Character Menu are being experimented with for mouse navigation, and the Affinity Menu sees a minor update for better Perks access.
Also, the game's Inventory system receives a revamp, enhancing the visual style of grid item entries for better readability of item rarity, power level, and populated Echo Slots, especially for Accessories. Crafting sees an improvement as well with the introduction of Multicraft, eliminating the need for “spam-clicking” on crafting materials. And the World Map functionality is streamlined, allowing players to travel to any discovered Signal Fire in any zone with a single button press.
As for gameplay balance adjustments, a Defense Overhaul is introduced. The calculation for damage reduction from Physical and Magic Defense is changed, providing a more consistent reduction percentage against attacks from same-level enemies. There’s weapon balance changes too, with buffs to Hellswarm and adjustments to various weapons like Bloodsong, Umbros, Tooth and Claw, and Grim Harvest.
Moreover, there’s Echo and loot balance changes that affect Beastmaster Echo, Ryv'n Echo, Reaver Woods, and Chests — enhancing drop rates and encounters in specific areas. Furthermore, the drop-rate for Epic Boss Accessories is buffed, while the chances of Rare accessories are reduced in favor of Epic ones. Last but not least, Mutated Accessories will now drop at content level.
Not a bad update for a game that's certainly had issues recently.
