With 2024 just barely out of the gate, Kinetic Games has shared an updated roadmap for its four-player horror co-op game Phasmopohiba. This roadmap is different from previous versions in two big ways.
First, there are no projected dates for upcoming content updates. Second, the roadmap also includes a list of things that are not part of the primary updates. These will be dropped “as soon as they are ready”. That includes things like the console release, point hope, new maps and map adjustments, and other improvements.
The roadmap includes four updates, v0.9+, v0.10+, v0.11+, and the full release – 1.0. Each update includes a variety of features ranging from a lighting overhaul to new equipment, new player models, and player customization, as well as others. The full release will bring with it new ghost models, a hunt overhaul, hallucinations, an overhaul of events, and more.
For those of you waiting on the console version, as we mentioned, it’s one of those things that will release as soon as it’s done. Unfortunately, we have no timeline for you. However, the developers plan to use this time to ensure that the delay includes plenty of changes. Yes, one of them involves the shop, but players can look forward to a variety of optimizations.
Another “as soon as it’s ready” item was the Point Hope lighthouse. Kinetic has been teasing players with this for a bit and today they’ve offered a peek at what players can look forward to soon. Point Hope has a new visual theme and a different gameplay experience from the rest of the game. The devs have taken advantage of the lighthouse shape to create looping areas and for players to think quickly.
The post also offers details on the upcoming farmhouse rework. Players can find more details on that in the post on the game’s Steam page.
