Player’s Decisions Shape Their Experience In RuneScape’s Second Season Of Leagues

A new season of RuneScape’s recently introduced seasonal content, Leagues dropped today. Leagues II: Equilibrium focuses more on player choice so that the decisions a player makes shapes their adventure. This includes choices on how to unlock new regions, complete tasks, and more.

Leagues II builds on the free-to-play MMORPG's previous Leagues experience, making use of player feedback. It features streamlined quest requirements and enhanced player power, resulting in what the developers describe as “the fastest-paced gameplay yet”.

Narratively speaking, Equilibrium centers on Guthix, the God of Balance. At the beginning, the entire map is locked and players will need to complete specific tasks to unlock areas. What tasks they take on when will determine the areas, and related bosses and other content that will be unlocked. Just keep in mind the choice will also shut off other options, so make those choices carefully.

Progressing will also unlock Combat Blessings that will help guide them through one of three paths: Order, Balance, or Chaos. The more a player does on a chosen path, the more they will align with it until they are able to unlock a God Tier Blessing, which boasts some serious combat effects.

Another Leagues mechanic, Relics, has been improved as well. During this season, players will be able to collect relics that define their playstyle, such as Endless Harvest, which allows for automatic banking and uninterrupted gathering. For those who’d like to focus on acquiring wealth, Golden Touch will be incredibly useful to those wanting to use their Agility and Thieving skills in order to do that.
