Riot Drops New Hype-Filled Cinematic Ahead Of 2XKO Early Access Launch

Today, Riot Games' 2v2 fighting game, 2XKO will enter early access on PC. Of course, Riot being Riot, they couldn't just let things kick off quietly. They had to do it in style. So, yesterday, they released a four-minute cinematic titled "The Ties that Bind".

The video, which features the vocals of Spiritbox's Courtney LaPlante is both an epic battle featuring Ahri and Ekko and a tribute to teamwork, which will obviously be required by those who are hoping to win matches.

With the early access launch will come the game's first competitive season, Season 0, and the removal of account resets. That's right, from now on, everything you earn, you get to keep going into the official launch. Those of you who took part in the closed beta will receive a special reward, the "Closed Beta Boss" title.

If you're waiting for the game to come to console, don't worry. It's in the works. That said, we don't have a date for that yet. So we'll just have to wait. On another note, online play won't be available for a bit. Players can expect it at 12:00 pm Pacific on October 9.
