Following the recent news that Guy Beahm – more popularly known as “Dr. Disrespect” was banned from Twitch for using the platform’s chat services to have “inappropriate” conversations with a minor, First Watch Games has announced they have disabled the skins Rogue Company players bought. As compensation for removing what was a $40 bundle, the devs are giving players Rouge Bucks.
Players of the team shooter are not pleased with the situation. The cosmetic was introduced in 2020 following the Twitch ban and came in the form of two smaller $20 bundles. The first contained a skin while the second included accessories. Many players bought both bundles, equating to the full $40 bundle.
Players were initially upset upon discovering – apparently without being alerted by First Watch that this would be happening – that they no longer had access to the content. Yesterday, players were finally informed that the removal was on purpose and that they would be receiving refunds. The catch is, that those refunds are in Rogue Bucks.
Obviously, this is the most cost-effective solution for First Watch and Hi-Rez. It’s much easier to throw some pretend money on someone’s account. They get to keep the money in their system and avoid any of the costs associated with sending out real money refunds. Players, however, are not happy about the situation. Some even noted that there’s nothing to spend Rogue Bucks on as the game hasn’t been updated in over a year.
where’s my $40 , i have no need for Rogue bucks when you guys haven’t updated the game in over a year
