MMOBOMB
Oct 27, 2024
As we know from previous posts on Pax Dei’s Proving Grounds, it will “reshape the MMORPG’s world”, implementing features to get players into the game faster, reworking the map, and more. As we get closer to the November 5 launch date, Mainframe is sharing more previews of what’s to come. Today, the developer offered an overview of the changes planned for Crafting and Building.
The devs are making “several significant changes” intended to create more structure in resource progression. The changes will also ensure that professions work with the new structure properly. It all begins with a rework of resource distribution to account for the changes made to the world’s geography. Resources are to follow the progression of biomes in conjunction with PvE progression. It’s also worth noting that the team is implementing one-click gathering. Now characters will chop or mine until the node has been completed.
Recipes are being updated according to biome progression as well. This should result in crafting remaining relevant throughout. In addition, recipe unlock mechanics are being adjusted based on skill and items needed. An added benefit of this is that new players shouldn’t get too overwhelmed. More details on this and other changes are available on the Pax Dei site.
