Palia developer Singularity Six announced some changes to the game’s development cycle in a blog post on the game’s site. Noting that prior to this point, the team had effectively been dropping updates about once a week, the post states that with the beginning of a new year and the workload of the dev team in mind, that schedule is being revised.
Going forward, players can expect updates to generally become monthly affairs. That doesn’t mean players will receive less content overall. In fact, the post says it will be just as much content, just at a different pace. There will potentially be content drops in between major updates as well, and the team promises “a greater commitment to fixing the issues that have been raised”.
If you’re wondering when the next patch will arrive, currently there is no set date. However, according to the post, players can expect it to arrive at the end of January or the beginning of February. What we do know is that it will include the return of the Maji Market, some romance for the latest villager, and new ways to decorate the exterior of your home.
Also arriving in the 0.176 is the Luna New Year event. The event will be even bigger than the last and include new activities. One of these is a hotpot game inspired by mahjong.
