XDefiant isn’t off to a very good start…
This past weekend, Ubisoft held a test for its upcoming shooter. Many players were able to access the game smoothly, but a portion encountered frustrating Delta-01 and Mike-01 errors across various platforms. Reports suggested that there were potentially mismatches between client versions, something we warned users about prior to the test.
Getting Mike-01 error issues on PlayStation? Please be sure to download the correct version.

You can do this by clicking on "..." on the XDefiant store page and make sure to download "XDefiant - Server Test Session" (see example) pic.twitter.com/YpZFOAZJpX
However, even with the correct server test client, some experienced persistent Delta-01 errors after matchmaking. While a workaround involving ensuring the proper client version existed, it wasn't a universal fix, so the servers probably got overloaded.
We've just deployed a fix to the servers to mitigate the occurrence of Delta-01 errors that some players have been experiencing during the Server Test Session. No download or patching is required, as the fix was applied on the back-end.

Additional issues surfaced across the weekend, prompting developers to take action. The Echelon faction, featuring the Splinter Cell class, was withdrawn entirely due to a bug amplifying the class's capabilities beyond balance. (Making it WAY OP.)
Heads up! We have disabled the Digital Ghillie Suit ability for Echelon due to an issue causing a rare Invisibility issue. We know, no more sneaky (for now), but try out the Intel Suit - it's quite revealing!

Also, the Ghillie Suit ability — allowing players to turn invisible briefly — became problematic as players remained invisible for extended durations even after firing their weapons. DedSec's spider-bot ability was also rendered unavailable due to a last-minute bug.
We have disabled the Echelon faction due to issues surrounding invisibility abilities.

Thank you everybody for the bug reports and feedback, we appreciate you!
From reading complaints on Twitter, it appears folks want the test extended since many were unable to play properly or even experience the game at all. Other issues mentioned were hit registration, high time-to-kill, jumping and movement mechanics, and aimbotting. Some said XDefiant is boring, while others enjoyed the game more than Call of Duty (the title it’s supposed to “kill”).
Our friend Zach Sharpes thought this may not end up being the CoD "killer" it hopes to be, finding it falling short of its primary competition.
Played a bit of #XDefiant and it's a solid COD clone, but that's exactly why it'll fail. If people want to play COD, they'll just play COD. They really should have tried to differentiate themselves a bit more.

We’ll see what happens though. This was just a test, after all. Hopefully the developers absorb all the criticism and work towards making XDefiant a solid FPS.
