If you were wondering where the Stars Reach Kickstart campaign that was originally planned to start around now was, it's being delayed. The MMORPG's team has decided to postpone the launch for now. There's no new date yet, but the team at Playable Worlds says they have a very particular reason for the delay: It's an effort to get more testers into the game and to open up more testing sessions ahead of asking for your cold hard cash.
I'm already very curious how much Playable Worlds is asking for when this campaign starts, so I'm a little disappointed that I'll have to wait longer now. I mean, their little "bar" is almost full to the alpha mark, but how much does that translate into needing?

I've mentioned before that I do like how open the game has been BEFORE going to Kickstarter, even though I'm not a fan of the team using a platform they previously said they weren't going to use, but we'll see how it goes.
As for getting more testers into the game before the campaign, I love the call. Changing weekly testing sessions to daily testing sessions and allowing more players to see what the team has done so far will really give players a level of transparency they seldom see before donating. In fact, the team is making it pretty easy to get into the game, too. If you go follow their Kickstarter, take a screen shot, then share that screen shot and the link to their campaign on social media with them you'll get into their next preview.
I guess that's a neat way to get the campaign shared around, for sure. "Win-Win" I think they call that.
If you're already in tests, you may want to hit up the latest changes based on the most recent testing.
