One of the huge pain points for Tarisland players since launch has been the fact that the MMORPG's battle pass is character specific. Sure, all characters always get the free track, but we're talking about the paid premium track here today. There's literally multiple posts similar to this one on the game's reddit warning others about this quirk. A "quirk" which is by no means exclusive to Tarisland.
Now sure, two things of note here are the facts that the battle pass isn't a required purchase to begin with and most of the rewards are cosmetic in nature anyway. That said, though, it still feels pretty bad to have to buy it multiple times if you want particular cosmetics to be unlocked on particular characters.
On top of that annoyance, you'll want to make sure you know what rolls over to Season 1 when it launches on October 22nd as seasons trigger resets. Not all Season 0 content makes the leap.
I do have some good news on this front today. Finally, Level Infinite is listening to players and making changes to the battle pass and to Monthly Tickets. The change comes in the form of "account sharing." It's just a weird way to say that the pass will now be account wide rather than character specific.
Now a single battle pass purchase unlocks the pass on all of your characters. You don't have account wide progression on the pass and each character will need to gain their own levels, but you'll no longer have to buy multiple passes for each character should you see cosmetics you really want to earn.
These changes extend to a few different appearance sharing rules, too. While most appearances sources, auction house, and purchases will also be shared, there's a few things that still won't be shared. These include things like reputation, achievements, and purchased crystals.
In Season 1 you'll be getting a new account mailbox that will be used for sending you items or crystals to compensate you for duplicate appearances that are now shared.
Oh, and lastly, you will soon be able to transfer gold from one character to another on your account for the cost of a few crystals. Transferring 10,000 gold coins costs 150 crystals. Each character can receive one transfer per week.
