The Elder Scrolls Online Devs Share Their Favorite Custom Spells Using Scribing

The Elder Scrolls Online has shared a few abilities that can be achieved through Scribing in their latest blog post by having some of the devs share their favorite abilities they've created in the MMORPG. 

The Elemental Explosion Grimoire leans heavily into the super powerful mage archetype making your abilities high risk/high reward with a longer commitment time. Combat Designer Gilliam likes to pair Elemental Explosion with the Knockback Focus for disruption and the Warmage's Defense Signature for a scaling shield based on the number of enemies hit.

Senior Systems Designer Cullen Lee likes to create the Shocking Burst ability using the Soul Burst Grimoire that unleashes a powerful burst of soul magic around the caster. The Interrupt Affix gives what it says on the tin, as does the Shock Damage Focus.

Finally, we come to something that feels like a completely brand new ability in Shattering Throw. Using the Shield Throw Grimoire, Multi-Target Signature, Lingering Torment Signature and Cowardice Affix, Animator Radacal Alexander creates the ability to throw your shield and have it bounce off of multiple enemies like Captain America. There's even a brand new animation in the game for the ability.
