The First Descendant Announces EVANGELION Collab Event

It wasn’t all that long ago that Yoshi-P announced an EVANGELION collab for Final Fantasy XIV, and now, here we are with another EVA collab coming to Nexon’s sexy shooter, The First Descendant. Unfortunately for XIV players, it’ll be a while before we actually see our collaboration event. The First Descendant players, however, will be able to check theirs out in just two days on June 18.

Considering the collab will bring EVANGELION-inspired cosmetics to the shooter, it feels like a good choice for a collaboration. I mean, we’ve all seen the Plugsuits. In this event, players will be able to pick up items that will effectively let them cosplay as Rei Ayanami, Asuka Shikinami Langley, and Mari Makinami Illustrious. This includes the suits, hairstyles, and even makeup. There will also be emotes, weapon skins, and more to pick up. Don’t worry about rushing to get everything. The event will be around for six weeks, ending on July 30.

In addition to the collab, the update will also introduce a new infiltration dungeon in Axion Plains Dungeon titled “Bastion of Immortality”. Here, players will discover how the Vulgus have been using data and facilities they stole from the ‘Void Vessel’ and face off against ‘The Administrator’.

In additional news, players can look forward to an event to celebrate the game’s second anniversary, Descendant Fest 2026, on July 1. The event will kick off at 5:00 PM Pacific and offer players a peek at the future of the game with a roadmap for the second half of 2026.
