Most MMO PvP players are intrigued by large-scale PvP. On the surface, it sounds amazing, right? Let's hop into a battle with thousands of players and push those frontlines forward. Rotating your camera and just seeing so many players can be exciting.

Sometimes there's a few problems though. Obviously the tech side of things gets very complicated. If you want to have thousands of people in one battle on one map, your tech needs to be up to the task. The second side of that is keeping players. It's not good if you OFFER large-scale PvP, but you can't keep the player numbers needed to support that mode.

Edge of Chaos is attempting to do exactly that. The medieval MMO being developed by MetaGravity Studio wants you see exactly what they have in mind when they say they offer PvP on an "unparalleled scale." The new trailer below starts with some cinematics but then transitions to PvP captured in-engine. Yes, it's impressive to see. It's also impressive to see the results of their November test that saw over 13,000 concurrent client connections in a single game instance.
