August is the month of expansions apparently. Dungeons & Dragons Online is in on the fun of new updates, too, and the Magic of Myth Drannor is now available in the MMORPG. Also known as Update 69, the Magic of Myth Drannor raises the level cap to 34, adds new gear, a new wilderness area with 13 new quests, and new Epic Feats and Epic Destiny Feats. A new raid will come later, too.
Myth Drannor itself is probably the major addition for fans of the IP itself. The Red Wizards of Thay are all up in arms doing some dark magic things, as usual. It'll be up to players to figure out how best to calm things down and restore the Elven capital.
Obviously everyone's favorite parts will be new content. I expect that. However, I find one particular note in the patch notes to a pretty amazing patch note. The following bug fix is amazing. "The Flying Carpet mount no longer sticks to your hand when drinking a potion or casting teleport."
That sound like an amazing bug, too bad it was squashed.
Anyway, if you want to pick up the expansion, bundles start at $40.
