The Year of Darkpaw continues in EverQuest II with the release of GU 125 Darkpaw Rising. This content update brings new trouble for players of the MMORPG to deal with in the form of a “gnoll coalition”. The Sabertooth gnoll clan of Blackburrow has decided to unite with the Splitpaw clan after being given a ton of Chirannis by the spirit of Fippy.
At the same time, the Underpaw gnolls can be found burrowing around in the Darkpaw dungeons. Guess whose job it is to deal with them before things get too out of hand?
In addition to the gnoll-related content, the Darkpaw Rising update also brings the DirectX API Port online and introduces several changes and fixes. One area that got quite a bit of love is quests. Some of the more unique issues fixed there include moving horse carcasses that were floating in the water to the sea floor in “Starve Them Out”, and addressing the Nymph hair being listed as required in “The Whispering Pines” when it’s not. Also, the next part of “Of Duty and Fate” has been added.
