Torchlight: Infinite’s Latest Season Kicks Off Bringing a New Hero Trait, Mode, And More

A new season has arrived in Torchlight: Infinite, and it’s brought a good bit of new content for players of the free-to-play ARPG to enjoy. Among the new features is the new Tartarus game mode, which will have players managing a prison in the Netherrealm. (Who doesn’t dream of being a warden?) Prison management includes things like tracking down and defeating escapees to claim their nameplates, housing inmates in the available cells, and arranging fights between them and various beasts. The mode lasts for 20 turns, at the end of which all the prisoners will become new enemies and bosses for the players to fight in a special challenge.

The update also introduces a new Hero Trait: Spacetime Witness Youga. The new trait creates a new playstyle built around maintaining a casting cycle. The Clockwork core casts Entanglement skills automatically and the critical strikes reduce ability cooldowns. The trait also offers three different development paths that players can choose elements from to combine into their own specialized playstyle.

As for other additions, SS14 also includes a new progression system that allows players to recruit followers from different tribes using a resource called Letters of Introduction.
