Zenless Zone Zero Celebrates Its Second Anniversary By Offering Players Their Choice Of A Free S-Rank Agent

On July 29, HoYoverse will drop Zenless Zone Zero’s 3.1 update, continuing the free-to-play action RPG’s latest story arc. All of the game’s major factions are coming together in one place, which can only mean trouble for the Proxies. Plus there’s the whole thing with Remielle to deal with. On top of that, the Proxies will run into an old friend they haven’t seen in a long time, not since their powers spiraled out of control, resulting in the death of another friend. Obviously things are going to be tense.

But, it’s not all drama. The Version 3.1 update will also mark the game’s 2nd anniversary. The devs are celebrating by offering players their choice of a free S-Rank agent and their related W-Engine. This year, players can choose from Jane, Soldier 0, Anby, Hugo, Trigger, or Lucia.

Speaking of S-Rank agents, Version 3.1 will introduce a new attribute type with the release of Remielle Dan, Lumiflux. This new attribute allows Remielle to change her the attribute of her damage based on the attribute of the next Agent in the squad. This means her attributes will change based on the teams she’s in.

The second new agent arriving in Version 3.1 is someone else players have all met before, Airspace Patrol’s Deputy Director Sigrid. She’s an Ice Attack agent. And yes, a new S-Rank bangboo will be available as well.

As for the Signal Search banners, Remielle will be available throughout all of Version 3.1. Aside from Remielle, there will still be two banners, with Sigrid dropping in the second one. The first banner will feature a rerun of Aria. In the second half, they’re bringing back the Exclusive Rescreening channel which will feature simultaneous reruns of Dialyn, Yuzuha, and Harumasa with players being able to choose which will be their rate-up Agent. That means the first S-Rank pulled on this channel is guaranteed to be the one they choose.

The update will introduce a new permanent game mode title “Enigma of the Labyrinth: Operation Bagel” which has players delving into a corrupted area to rescue Eous. The mode will be seasonal and shares weekly progress with Hollow Zero.

As for events, it’s time to go back to the Fantasy Resort. Players who complete the event will receive a free swimsuit outfit for Lucy. Other summer outfits will be available in the shop.

Other items being distributed during this update include Pyrois’ latest Mindscape and W-Engine overclocking materials as well as a total of 1,600 Polyhchromes, and 10 Encrypted Master Tapes.

Oh, yes. And one other thing. At the end of the stream, they announced that a Zenless Zone Zero X Honkai: Star Rail crossover is on the way. We do have a bit of a wait though, as it’s slated for this winter. (This probably explains the sudden appearance of Pom Pom in the video store, though.
