Zenless Zone Zero’s Next Update Adds The First New Agent Specialty Since Launch

This morning, Zenless Zone Zero offered players a look at the upcoming Version 3.2 update titled “Their Secret Histories”. Those “histories” aren’t just about the game’s next playable characters and overseers of the Flint Workshop where all Porceloy is made. Based on the video, we should also be getting more information on the various Sunbringers and our former classmates at Helios Academy.

In the upcoming update, players of the free-to-play action RPG will help Flint Worshop head Claret and her closest assistant track down a missing Porceloy shipment – the same one that Velina and Norma were looking for when we first met them. The shipment had been intercepted before arriving where it was supposed to and it appears that someone we used to know was involved. At the same time, the Sunbringers and Flint Workshop are doing more investigating of the giant Etherial Gertablullu, and have discovered ties to the missing Porceloy there as well.

As mentioned above, the upcoming S-Rank Signal Search characters are tied to Flint Workshop. The first, we’ve already met, the head of the Workshop, Claret. Claret is more than just a new character, she’s the first character in the game since launch with a new Agent Speciality: Armorer. This is a heavy-damage specialty. Element-wise, she’s electric. She’s also armed with a scythe and seems to use her own blood in her attacks. That’s always fun.

The other character, Claret’s assistant and close friend, Roxy is a Wind Stun agent. Her weapon of choice is a cross between a shield and a hammer. She uses tornadoes to control the battlefield.

Claret and her W-Engine Crimson Thirst will be available in the first Signal Search. She will be accompanied by a rerun of Nangong Yu. The second signal search will feature Roxy and her W-Engine Crimson Moon Casket. This second Signal Search will also include a rerun of Promeia.

Speaking of Nangong. If you have the Angels of Delusion on your roster, you might be excited to know that they’re receiving new outfit skins. The skin are available for for participating in Version 3.2 and 3.3 events. This includes a log in event, an event involving the bangboo tailor shop that’s… a pinball game (Players also get their own accessories for the Proxies from this event.), another mini-game that involves raising a digital pet, and a new round of detective missions with Crowe, among other things.
