About
Alisa is a horror-themed action adventure game published and developed by Casper Croes. The title was released on October 22, 2021, and falls within the Indie genre alongside Horror and Action categories. This single-player experience takes place in a fantasy universe that draws inspiration from the 1920s era. The narrative follows an Elite Royal Agent named Alisa who pursues a wanted criminal into an old Victorian mansion. Once inside, she must find a way out while being pursued by materialized and mechanized doll-like humanoids. The game features real pre-rendered backgrounds that support its classic late-90s style aesthetic. Players can explore a large variety of enemies and locations throughout the Dollhouse setting. Combat involves weapon load-outs and survival horror gameplay mechanics that offer Soulsborne-style difficulty. Character customization includes dresses and armours which provide unique player stats boosts. The in-game economy utilizes an eccentric currency system for the item shop. A weird sense of humour is woven into the experience alongside a nostalgic trip to the late 1990s. The main story takes approximately seven hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to eleven hours. For those seeking a completionist run, the total length reaches twenty-one hours.
