About

Anima: Gate of Memories is a third-person action RPG developed by Badland Games and published by Anima Project. The game was released on June 1, 2016, offering players an adventure that blends fighting, action, and role-playing elements. Players can explore the world of Gaia as introduced in the Anima: Beyond Fantasy RPG table-top books. The narrative follows two beings bound by an unwilling pact, specifically an ancient monster named Ergo and a girl known as The Bearer of Calamities who has lost her past. These characters are forced to stay together, leading their lives to take an unexpected turn when they discover a darker war in the shadows. Your choices and actions directly impact this journey and decide the fate of the characters throughout the story. In gameplay terms, you control both Ergo and The Bearer of Calamities but do not have them physically present at once. You can switch between these dual characters at any point to invoke special synergy that continues movement and creates spectacular combos. Each character has access to a large set of special skills that players can develop and customize as in a traditional RPG. The combat system combines RPG elements with fast-paced action, featuring epic battles against formidable opponents and legendary entities. Players travel through the tower of Arcane and various locations across the world of Gaia with great freedom. You can revisit areas to discover new secrets and unlock access to previously inaccessible places within this huge world. The main story takes approximately 18 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to about 23 hours. A completionist run requires roughly 28 hours to finish all available content.
