About

Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book DX is a single-player RPG published and developed by KOEI TECMO GAMES CO., LTD. This definitive edition was released on April 21, 2021, and includes various DLCs alongside brand new content at an updated price point. Players can explore a world full of wonders that combines heart-warming everyday elements with extraordinary experiences. The narrative follows a young alchemist named Sophie who meets a sentient book called Plachta. Together they travel to recover the memories lost by Plachta while gaining knowledge in alchemy. This DX version introduces several new features designed to enhance the gameplay experience. New episodes depict Sophie's growth and offer a costume that allows her to follow in her grandmother's footsteps. The edition also provides three new cauldrons to assist with adventures and adds a sprinting option for easier movement. Combat can be managed more quickly using a fast-forward feature, while a photo mode lets players capture beautiful images. Previously released DLC is included as part of this package. The game offers different playtime lengths depending on how thoroughly a player explores the content. Completing just the main story takes approximately 34 hours. Adding extras extends the experience to around 46 hours for those who wish to see more. A completionist approach to the game requires about 53 hours to finish all available content.
