About

Backrooms Media is an indie action RPG and adventure strategy title developed by Patrik Nagy and published by Pretty Soon. The game officially launched on September 10, 2024, offering a casual experience for one to four players. This co-op horror project places participants in surreal, hyper-realistic liminal spaces where the boundary between dream and reality becomes unclear. Players navigate these eerie environments while facing lurking horrors within mysterious landscapes. Survival in this endless setting depends entirely on collaboration among teammates. The game supports both single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing friends to group up to face terror together. Communication is handled through proximity voice chat, which lets nearby players whisper strategies that are only audible to those close by. This audio system helps teams share discoveries and adapt their approach as the situation changes. The visual presentation relies on high-quality graphics powered by Unreal Engine 5 to render the unsettling environments. The core objective involves trying to escape these spaces while managing the challenges presented by the game world.Read more
