About
Bionic Commando is an action and adventure title published and developed by Capcom, released on July 28, 2009. The game serves as a sequel to the original 1988 Nintendo Entertainment System release and features both single-player and multi-player modes. Players assume the role of Nathan "R.A.D." Spencer, who returns with bionic enhancements after five years away from his previous exploits. Spencer was betrayed by the government he served, leading to his imprisonment for crimes he did not commit and a death sentence. On the day of his execution, terrorists detonated an experimental weapon in Ascension City, causing a massive earthquake that destroyed the city and killed its population. The air defense grid fell under the control of a terrorist force with unclear goals, leaving the FSA to plan a behind-the-lines assault through the ruined terrain. The main story takes approximately seven hours to complete, while including extras extends the playtime to nine hours. A completionist run requires about seventeen hours to finish all available content. This entry continues the narrative of Spencer's struggle against overwhelming odds in a post-apocalyptic setting created by the terrorist attack.
