Black Mesa is a fan-made reimagining of Valve Software’s Half-Life. The game was published and developed by Crowbar Collective. It was released on March 6, 2020. Black Mesa: Definitive Edition Update 1.5 brings together all the improvements to graphics and gameplay across 15 years of development.

Players can enjoy both single-player and multiplayer modes. The game is categorized as action, indie, and adventure. In the single-player campaign, you take on the role of Gordon Freeman, a theoretical physicist at the Black Mesa Research Facility. When an experiment goes wrong, you must fight your way through an interdimensional alien invasion and a military clean-up crew to save the science team and the world. The main story takes approximately 15 hours to complete. If you include all extras, it will take around 18 hours. A completionist playthrough can take up to 24 hours.
