About
Boomerang Fu is an action, indie, and casual title published and developed by Cranky Watermelon that launched on August 13, 2020. The game supports both single-player and multiplayer modes, allowing up to six participants to engage in co-op sessions. Players join a crew of favorite foods to grill, chill, and spill their enemies within this physics-based party experience. Combat revolves around slicing and dicing friends with boomerangs in frantic rounds designed for social gatherings. Users can discover a wide range of power-ups including explosive boomerangs, disguises, and telekinesis to use individually or together. Stacking these items creates deadly combinations that help players roast and toast their opponents in lightning-fast matches. The controls require only one stick and three buttons, making the game accessible for anyone who wants to play immediately. Hardcore enthusiasts can focus on mastering advanced techniques of this lost martial art by deflecting attacks and recalling dropped boomerangs. Curving throws around corners allows skilled players to become powerful boomerang assassins while navigating the edible world. The adventure takes place across over 30 Kung Fu arenas, each filled with unique tools and traps for battles. Players must jump over moving platforms and sneak through lush foliage while triggering sliding walls to squish foes. The main story lasts about one hour, but including extras extends playtime to roughly three hours. A completionist run of the game takes approximately four hours to finish.
