About

Bramble: The Mountain King is an indie horror adventure RPG published by Merge Games and developed by Dimfrost Studio. Released on April 27, 2023, this single-player title lets players take on the role of Olle, a young boy who sets off to rescue his sister from a dreaded troll. The game unfolds in a strange land where not everything is exactly how it seems, requiring careful judgment on when to approach and when to hide. Many hungry and spiteful beasts lurk within the forests and caves, demanding that players watch their step throughout the journey. Players can call upon the Spark of Courage, an enchanted fragment that grants necessary gifts to endure the pitfalls and trials in the path. This mechanic allows users to defeat horrid creatures they encounter in different ways while navigating a beautiful yet dangerous world to explore. The experience includes tense moments with high-end visuals that match the epic-scale boss battles against twisted, mythical creatures from Nordic folklore. However, players are warned that courage without kindness can take them down a dark path as they progress through the story.
