Overcoming platforming challenges helps players discover neat loot and other items scattered throughout the world. Combat in Crystal Project avoids random encounters by letting players manage Threat to control which party member a monster will attack. The system provides no hidden information, enabling users to preview turn order, damage, and probabilities similar to TRPGs. Players can discover and unlock new classes while assigning sub-classes and picking passive abilities for their characters. Users can invent unique team compositions or stick to the MMORPG Holy Trinity when building their party. Special items can be equipped to enhance capabilities during gameplay sessions.
