Deathtrap is an Action-RPG and Tower Defense hybrid published by NeocoreGames, with development also handled by the same studio. The title was released on February 3, 2015, and falls within the Tactical, Indie, Adventure, Strategy, and RPG genres. Players can experience the game in both Single-player and Multi-player modes. The single-player campaign allows you to choose from three playable classes: Mercenary, Sorceress, and Marksman. Each class provides different tactics, skills, and powers to dispose of enemies. You must build traps and towers before hordes of twisted monsters reach the gates of your world. While defending, you can also move freely with your character to attack monsters directly for better results. Manage your skill tree, upgrades, and equipment, or craft new items to suit your playstyle. The game offers an extended character development system with 100 levels to achieve and more than 50 skills per class. You can use destructive spells and deadly mechanisms to smash, freeze, burn, or otherwise damage the creatures of nightmare. In addition to the main campaign, you can team up with a friend in a cooperative mode designed for specific maps. Alternatively, players can compete against each other where one defender prepares traps while an attacker possesses creatures to weaken defenses. The game features 25 deadly traps and over 150 trap upgrades, along with special upgrades tied to achievements. Defeat invaders from three different races comprising more than 40 distinct types with varied abilities. Explore hidden regions in the mysterious otherworld known as the Ink to find neutral creatures and solve side quests for exclusive loot. The detailed equipment mechanics and comprehensive loot system allow you to customize your inventory effectively. Artifact crafting provides new ways to experiment with lethal magical items. Compete with other players through a rank system and leaderboards that track your progress. The game includes a variety of horrors to defeat, ensuring the invading swarms remain colorful and challenging.
