About

Demons Roots is an indie RPG and adventure title published by Kagura Games and developed by Quick nail Aristocrat, released on January 13, 2023. The narrative begins after the Demon Lord's defeat, where remaining demons retreat to the Dark Realm before planning a return invasion a thousand years later. On the verge of extinction, demonkind launches one final struggle for survival against a human world that has changed significantly in their absence. Humans have turned against each other, leaving the downtrodden and defeated poor to find an unlikely ally in the very demons who once terrorized them. Together, these groups fight against the world's victors who hold all the power, aiming to gain freedom and create a new home for everyone. Players take on the role of the demon Deathpolca alongside an eclectic cast that includes other demons, an FBI agent, and a gladiator. The objective is to lead demonkind toward world domination by conquering the continent one country at a time. As you navigate the story's twists and turns, you can gain various items and skills to fight powerful enemies. Those seeking a greater challenge will also find hidden treasure and face overwhelming super bosses throughout their journey. The game features a wide variety of characters ranging from lovable allies to detestable villains as you advance your quest for dominance. You must decide who to persuade to join your cause and who will oppose you until the end. The experience includes seven original songs by composer Shade, which are accessible via the game's sound test for listening. This title may contain content not appropriate for all ages or suitable for viewing at work. Purchasing the game on GOG provides a censored version, with further content details available on the publisher's website. The main story takes approximately 30 hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to 48 hours. A completionist run of the game requires about 70 hours to finish all objectives.Read more
