About
Dream Ending is an indie adventure and casual title published by NVLMaker with development handled by #workshop. The game was released on July 22, 2019, and offers a single-player experience for players to explore alone. This visual novel presents a short but exquisite narrative focused on humanity's final love story before the end. The plot centers on a world where scientists discovered five years prior that the sun is degrading at an accelerated pace. To prevent extinction, executives formed the United Government and pooled resources to build gigantic space vessels known as Arks. These vessels eventually broke through orbit to carry humanity's spirit to survive the coming darkness while the leftovers of mankind faced perishing. The main story takes approximately two hours to complete if you focus only on the primary narrative path. Adding extras extends the playtime, bringing the total length to five hours for a completionist run. The tale begins with the Arks leaving Earth and shifts to a personal moment where a character demands that the protagonist ask her out. This invitation sets up a scenario where two people decide to face the inevitable apocalypse together.
