Driftland: The Magic Revival is an indie fantasy RPG and strategy simulation published by Star Drifters on April 17, 2019. The game offers both single-player campaigns and multiplayer options for co-op play. Players assume the role of a Mage Overlord who commands a castle and tower within a small realm. This title allows users to explore procedurally generated worlds and terraform scattered landmasses using magic. The narrative begins after a devastating war between ancient mages left the planet shattered, held together only by a powerful spell. Warring factions eventually called a truce to repair the damage, but it was already too late to save the civilization entirely. New sources of magic later emerged, giving birth to new mages across the planet as dormant conflicts resurfaced. The story determines whether Driftland is restored to its former glory or wiped from the cosmos. Gameplay focuses on setting general goals for all units without micromanaging each individual one. Warriors, archers, and mages under your command can tame and ride different kinds of flying beasts to create aerial units. You will manage a resource- and magic-based economy while exploring and fighting on the same map. The experience includes main story content lasting about 24 hours, with additional extras extending playtime to roughly 40 hours. Completing all objectives brings the total completionist length to approximately 42 hours. A demo version of Driftland: The Magic Revival is currently available for download.
