Duskers is an indie survival strategy simulation developed and published by Misfits Attic, released on May 17, 2016. You must pilot drones into these abandoned vessels to scavenge resources while piecing together the history of how the cosmos became a graveyard. Your interface relies on old gritty technology, where audio comes through a remote microphone and visuals are limited to the specific feeds from each drone. Control is managed entirely through a command line interface, requiring you to issue precise commands to navigate the dark reaches of space. You will encounter dangerous creatures within the military outposts, but weapons are rare, forcing you to rely on motion sensors and lures for exploration. Since your equipment can fail over time, such as broken sensors or depleted lure supplies, you must continually adapt your approach to survive. Every upgrade for your drones and ship must be earned by salvaging parts found during your missions. The game features a main story length of one hour, with total playtime extending to twenty-one hours when including extras. You are completely isolated in the environment, so losing everything upon death is a significant risk that demands careful resource management. By sifting through un-corrupted ship logs, you can uncover details about the events that transpired before your arrival. The simulation aspect involves managing fuel levels and parts while avoiding hazards that wait within the derelicts.
