About
Earth Defense Force: Insect Armageddon is an action title published by D3Publisher of America, Inc. and developed by Vicious Cycle Software, Inc. The game was released on December 14, 2011. It offers both single-player and multi-player experiences that include co-op options. The narrative involves thousands of giant insects and aliens ravaging the earth while only the Earth Defense Force can stop them. Players must defend the city of New Detroit against an infestation described as bigger and meaner than ever before. Combat requires destroying these monsters at all costs, even if it means turning entire city blocks into rubble. The experience delivers raw arcade shooter satisfaction on a gigantic modern scale. Collectors can gather over 300 weapons including assault rifles, rocket launchers, energy weapons, sniper rifles, and grenade launchers. Four upgradeable armor types are available for use: Jetpack, Battle, Tactical, and Trooper. A six player Survival mode pits a human squad against waves of enemies. The game features massive replayability through arcade style scoring, tons of weapons to collect, and multiple difficulty levels in every game mode. The main story length is five hours. Adding extras extends the playtime to eight hours total. Completing all aspects of the game takes twelve hours.Read moreShow less
