About
Felvidek is an indie historical RPG developed and published by Jozef Pavelka that was released on March 29, 2024. This single-player title takes place in an alternate history region of the Slovak Highlands where Hussite pillagers and Ottoman spies have caused significant damage. Players will also encounter surreal horrors lurking within the dark areas of this setting. The narrative follows Pavol, a fair knight who struggles with alcohol issues, as he gathers a party to oppose forces threatening the kingdom. The gameplay involves traversing a hand-painted world filled with castles, settlements, and dungeons for exploration. You can unveil secret doors and hidden passageways while progressing the story by meeting various characters such as Catholics, Hussites, or more sinister folk. Combat is handled through turn-based RPG mechanics where you fight different enemies and gather gear and supplies for your character. The main story takes approximately 6 hours to complete, though adding extras extends the experience to around 8 hours. A completionist playthrough requires about 16 hours of gameplay.
