Filament is an indie puzzle and strategy title developed by Beard Envy and published by Kasedo Games and Maple Whispering Limited. The game was released on April 22, 2020, and offers a single-player experience with controller support. Players board the Alabaster, one of The Filament Corporation's flagship research vessels, to regain control after a mysterious complication locks down the ship and leaves the crew missing. With Juniper, the ship's stricken pilot, you must face difficult puzzles to uncover what happened to the crew and why they disappeared. You can freely explore the vessel while solving over 300 challenging and varied puzzles at your leisure. The puzzles can be approached in almost any order you like as you survey the ship. Throughout this process, you maintain constant contact with Juniper, learning more about her, her crew, and the events that occurred as she opens up to you. Searching through crew logs, messages, records, personal items, and knick-knacks found around the ship helps reveal who the crew were and why they left. The main story takes approximately 19 hours to complete, while the main story plus extras extends playtime to about 25 hours. For those aiming for a completionist run, the total length reaches roughly 34 hours. The game challenges you to board the Alabaster and then challenge yourself to leave as you search for the truth.
