The game combines elements from modern roguelite platformers such as Dead Cells and Rogue Legacy with nostalgic old-school platformer shooters like Contra and Metal Slug. Players can choose to play the single-player campaign or engage in co-op sessions with a friend for local or online multiplayer experiences. The narrative takes place within pages of a living comic book where each room functions as a comic panel and ink serves as a valuable resource. You will explore why John Kowalsky, the author of the acclaimed Fury Unleashed series, is facing a creativity crisis and assist him in resolving it. The experience includes overcoming a total of 40 bosses across visually distinctive worlds created by a mix of hand-designed levels and procedural generation algorithms. Combat requires players to kill enemies quickly enough to unleash fury while avoiding injury to rip through obstacles in their path. You can learn to play flawlessly and attempt to beat the entire game in one epic combo. The title offers two main difficulty settings, including Hard mode which tests skills, and Easy mode where difficulty parameters can be adjusted as desired. Unlocking access to even harder Incredible and Legendary modes is possible by beating the challenging Hard mode first. Players may disable blood and gore if they prefer a cleaner experience or if young children are nearby. Choose your hero's skills to match your playstyle and modify their appearance to your liking throughout the game. The main story length is approximately eight hours, while the main story plus extras extends to thirteen hours. Completionist runs take about twenty-two hours to finish. The soundtrack was composed by Adam Skorupa and Krzysztof Wierzynkiewicz, who also created music for The Witcher, Bulletstorm, and Shadow Warrior 2.
