Grow Home is an indie adventure and casual title published by Ubisoft and developed by Reflections, a Ubisoft Studio. The game was released on February 4, 2015, and features single-player gameplay where you control BUD, a Botanical Utility Droid robot. Your mission involves saving your home planet by harvesting seeds from a giant alien plant while exploring a world of floating islands. This environment is inhabited by strange plants and animals that you will encounter throughout your quest. You can grow the giant plant to create pathways in the sky and use it as a bridge, safety net, or climbing surface. Procedural animation allows BUD's hands to move independently for an unrestricted climbing experience where one wrong move results in a long fall. Collecting crystals found in every nook and cranny of the alien world enhances BUD's abilities during exploration. Many of the unusual plants possess properties that assist you on your quest to reach ever higher ground. The main story takes approximately three hours to complete, while including extras extends playtime to four hours. A completionist approach to the game requires about eight hours to finish all content.
