The game features a single-player experience where players control Colton White in a realistic epic set during the lawless West. Screenwriter Randall Jahnson crafted a story about discovery and vengeful justice for those who have wronged the protagonist. Players can choose to act as a gunslinger protecting righteousness or seek retribution against corrupt lawmen and ruthless outlaws. Combat involves new and savage ways to punish enemies through stealth attacks, using foes as cover, stabbing, shooting, and destroying with dynamite. The gameplay offers extensive variety including wage war on horseback, commandeer trains, protect prostitutes, collect bounties, play poker, and hunt buffalo. Multiple styles allow for precision shooting, stealth tactics, and the use of explosives to master gun slinging and horse riding skills. Players can unlock secret weapons and upgrade their abilities to improve weapon and equipment performance throughout numerous side missions. The expansive interactive world lets players journey west across a new frontier filled with scenic yet dangerous terrain. This environment includes canyons, mountains, plains, forests, gold mines, and towns for riding on horseback through. Authentic weapons available include six shooters, shotguns, Gatling guns, flaming arrows, hatchets, and more to face legendary gunfighters like JJ Webb. The brutal realism lets gamers experience the brutality of the lawless West while encountering warring tribes and cold-blooded outlaws.
